It just screams SUMMER to me. What I don't love is all the fabric at the waist. I don't want to add inches there!

So, I went to the fabric store and this Cotton Clip Dot fabric called my name. I sewed it up in an OOP McCalls pattern this weekend and wore it today (styled casually) This "fancy" version is for date night!

Wow! Gorgeous outfit. I love your hair too. Please show us the skirt again with other ways that you are styling it. I usually think of purple as a fall/winter color but you have made it summery and fresh with the white skirt, something I want to try. Thank you for the inspiration.

Well done! My sister bought this in orange. And she had the same complaint you did, the extra fabric around the waist was too bulky. But she loved the color so much she ended up taking off the waistband and doing box pleats all around( well, her alterations guru did). It is still a little too bulky but better. Yours turned out really pretty.

They are very comfortable. I have worn them probably four times.
Already the foot bed (the part you see under my toes) has torn from walking. I am disappointed but what can I really do about it?

Oh my gosh, this is sensational! I want to copy! What a fab idea to sew it and I am taking notes...now that my own hair is grey I find that purple is one of my best colours and it looks so fresh with the white. Love the shoes and wrap as well. You look beautiful!
