Blush Banana Jeans

Previously on YLF : I was hesitant to buy these blush jeans. I loved the ensembles based on blush, white and red, but I didn't have the support acts in my wardrobe. And it's too late in the season to build a capsule from scratch, my budget is nearly gone. I asked for inspiration, and YLF came to the rescue - special thanks to Angie and Joy who provided lots of inspiring visuals.

Your expressions, and collection of oxford shoes, are priceless. Each outfit has its charm, but I like #6 and #7 right now. #8 is magnificent, but it looks to me more a polite contemplation than a full embrace. Could that really be you in #4?

Oh, so elegant! My particular favourites here are #6 and #7. #7 in particular. Something about the colour combination but also your attitude in the photo. I also love #8 but it feels more studied in some way. Which may not be a bad thing as the weather cools.

You have some wonderful oxfords. That is a very interesting sweater in #5 with the shoulder detail.

Love your shopping outfit, too.

Cool! All these outfits have this kind of nonchalant vibe I like so much! My favorite is the one with the white chunky cropped sweater and the contrasting shoes - minimalism with added texture.

Great blush pants, and I love all the possible outfits, especially #2 and #3. You have some lovely oxfords, too. I am a fan of the shopping outfit as well, looks very sophisticated.

Fab white loafers in #1. Cute rolled jeans too.

The blush jeans look insanely fashion forward and '80s. Modern Retro. LOVE. Now I want a pair too. (Excellent look with your very long legs).

You did a stellar job putting these outfits together. The word "charming" comes to mind - but then so is your personality, and I can't separate the two. I'l throw in a little cheeky too.

#4 is Killer, and my best. I am sooo stealing those oxfords. I like #6 next best. Fabulous proportions. But they ALL work well. You are our Elegant Tomboy. Cute kinky hair too.

I'm amazed at how perceptive you are, Suz and Shevia! Yes, #8 was the most studied and unnatural to me - so I'm happy it got some love, Mochi - and yes, I have a soft spot for #7.

Yes, I have to be very excited to start taking selfies, for example, after I just purchased something special and want to show people who might care. Taking multiple selfies of the same thing? Not happening. You've given me some ideas on how to do more interesting selfies, I.e.: Adding some poses and facial expressions.

I like these banana pants. Are these an actual thing sold as "banana pants" or did you just make that up?
I like the iteration with the pink (red?) top.

I made that up Smittie, I don't think banana pants have a marketing value, lol.
I didn't mean to be a secret YLFer, I couldn't take pics for a long time (now I have an Ipad and just figured how to take selfies with it) and I didn't want to comment on others' WIW from my armchair without participating. I just commented on the posts of people I met in London because it felt rude not to - like passing them by on the street without saying hello.

I'm on a short holiday in Wales UK and although I'm making it a mainly internet free break, I just had to log in and say how fab to see you post Skylurker! Your blush jeans capsule is a work pf art. You've got some lovely combinations and amazing shoes. I'm particularly fond of the rich plum/fuchsia toned sweater and shoe pairing in #7 and the lovely column of light shades in #4. I do enjoy your dry sense of humour coming through in your post....such fun!

I'm sort of stunned because in my two years here I have never seen a picture of you, yet read every word you write on Angie's blog in awe of your take on things.

You have a very European look - and I know you live in Europe, somewhere.....and the baggy blush chino is a little out of my wheelhouse, but I think I know style when I see it. I love it styled as part of a "suit". And I wish I could wear a striped tie-neck blouse with such panache.

Angie, what do you call a light jacket ? Mostly, apart from the short navy moto and the longer trench coats, I thought none of my blazers worked with that shape. It's exceptionally comfortable btw, perfect if you're a desk bound worker or a couch potatoe weekender like me.
I've also seen "workwear" jeans around and was sorely tempted.

I just got some blush pants as well, you've both inspired me to post them, and intimidated me because I didn't take this kind of care to style them at all, just quickly tried them with a few things. Something I really should try to do with more care. Sigh.

I mean a topper light in colour, actually. And those workwear jeans look divine. A little ""paper bag" at the waist. Now I want those too.

Yeah. Short jackets tend to look better with those types of jeans. Blazers are a little long.
