Black Skinnies for the weekend

Inspired by Angie's post, I decided to wear my black skinnies today. Normally I would wear these with colour, but I thought I would go with my black leather moto jacket, to be more consistent with the outfit formula.
This is more hard edge that what I would normally wear, but I enjoyed wearing it all the same. I added nude pumps and my shirt is more ivory than white, but it is pretty close the the colour scheme.

Sorry my shirt is not in Finds, it is ivory with a slight pattern on it.

Worn with my red bag for a pop of colour!

My skinnies are The Looker by Mother. Unfortunately they are not inexpensive, but incredibly comfortable. These are the best jeans I have ever had (I now have them in 3 washes they are that great as I love wearing them).

Anne, it is funny because I have not worn this moto with jeans before, it usually toughens up my more girly dresses. It was fun to play with the formula.

Lady painter, I wore black boots to walk the dogs, but switched in the pumps later in the day to visit my Dad.

Oh dear! I'm not sure if you meant the pink boots or the pink I wore with other boots, but after reading your comment I set off on a long and useless run, looking at pink short boots to replace the ones I had last year (at good enough quality that they don't disintegrate when I try to use them). There’s drool all over my keyboard, lol.

Fashintern, I meant that I liked the juxtaposition that you often get wearing pink items with more hard edge elements. However, pink boots sound like a wonderful wildcard.

Mainelady, yes good jeans become complete workhorses for me. These get worn a lot.

Brooklyn, when I was young I almost exclusively wore black, so whilst this is not what I consider typical of my current style, it is not completely foreign, more like revisiting my former self. I did like adding the softer elements, such as the blouse and shoes.

This is SO great on you - as others have said, your hair and the nude pumps make the whole look so fresh and modern (with that throwback to the 90's of course). So nice to see a version of jeans and a leather jacket that isn't grounded in black heavy boots. Love it.
