Happy thanksgiving! I’m in Asia so I’m a day ahead.

We celebrated with some fellow American expats by going out for BBQ at a casual restaurant. It’s super rainy today. So alas, not much of an opportunity to dress up, and nice shoes were definitely out, but I tried to strike a balance between festive and relaxed. Stretchy paper bag jeans (Gap), a burgundy pleather shirt (zara), glossy burgundy boots (zara), and blingy gold hoops (various). All easily cleaned in case of BBQ spills .

The pleather shirt always gets compliments but I don’t totally love it…. It has a bit of a medieval or piratical feel with my short hair, and makes me feel like a castle page or something?? The jeans may not be conventionally flattering around the hips but they are so comfortable and I find them kinda interesting-looking with the ruffle waist and the carrot leg.

And then a peek of the “after party” outfit: peachy sweats (both Madewell, but not intended as a set) for sitting on the couch with the dog! The best part of any holiday!
