Dear Fabbers,

For Sal's Art Challenge I chose The Balcony 2 My inspiration was mainly the colours, but I also tried to capture the feeling of the painting.

I am wearing a royal blue blazer (Escada) layered over a royal blue blouse (Escada) and black slim trousers (STOCKHLM). I added a white silk scarf made of stripes of twill and chiffon (bought in a bridal shop) and white pilot sunglasses (gift from my sister). Then, I used a woven brown leather clutch (ETRO), pointy toe brown - blush flats (Geox). For fun, I added a wooden shark brooch (thrifted).

I was hoping to express the crispness and structure and the depth at the same time. The frames of the glasses should remind of the balcony. Not sure how it went - my first art challenge ever...

ETA - Halftime - oranges

Today, I tried an outfit inspired by the Halftime - oranges painting. I think it is a good example of an outfit, which does not work on me. I wear a green COS dress with a large orange necklace (old, Indiska) and an orange bag (Marco Polo) with an attached orange/red scarf (Daniel Hechter), white trousers and grey/silver loafers (Geox). I like the outfit in itself, but the colour combination seems wrong on me. Too pale/muted low contrast colours. I normally wear the green dress with fuchsia/green bright patterned scarf and the orange accessories with my navy or black dresses.

I apologize for posting two challenge outfits in one week, but I will be travelling next week and not have the opportunity to spend much time on the forum. Hope it´s ok. Wanted to ask for your opinion on the Halftime - oranges.
