I found a great midi skirt that fits perfectly and has small yellow flowers. Whilst I do have a skirt that is a similar, the other one is of a different colour way and is not as well constructed or such beautiful fabric as this skirt. The old skirt was becoming a complete workhorse, so I feel that this one is now the workwear and 'good one' and the other is to be worn more casually. The new skirt is beautifully made - the lining is sewn into the skirt and the fabric does not crush, an essential factor in making me feel good even at the end of a long day at work.

I wore my skirt today because I am definitely on 'team wear'. Worn with a black shirt and a cropped black jacket. I liked this combination, but it felt black heavy - so I thought of Angie and added pearls. Interestingly, I only took the photo at the end of the day and now I think I would prefer not to see the sleeve on my shirt with the cropped jacket. When I got dressed this morning, I did not see that the proportions of the sleeve of the shirt and jacket looked a bit off.

I wore my new ankle strap pumps and because the flowers in the skirt have red centres, added my red bag.

When I looked in the mirror I thought I was channeling certain aspects of Angie's style:
- Colourful bag
- Ankle strap pointy toe footwear (Angie's style from 2 years ago)
- Midi skirt that swooshes
- Yellow
- Pearls

Before YLF, I would have omitted the pearls, worn sheer black hose, black heels and a black bag. It would have been fine, but not as good as it is with the Angie contribution. I feel very fortunate to have joined YLF and been able to learn from Angie and the YLF community.

I am looking forward to the weather warming up so that I can wear the skirt with my orange knit and white cape jacket.
