Frye Billy Short Ankle Boot

This style was already in the store, but has just come out in this distressed clay colour. It’s a great look on a chilly Spring day. They are so pretty in milky cream, I can’t stand it. Extra fab with faded blue jeans. Simply KILLER for a person like me that loves cream footwear.

Frye Rory Slouch Boot

I own these boots and they are heavenly. They made my favourites list for 2009 and will probably make the list for 2010. They are extremely soft and buttery and work with just about everything in my wardrobe. I wear them over jeans and with dresses and skirts, both dressy and casual. They scrunch down on the leg. Perfect for both a narrow and wide calf and available in black, dark brown and cognac.

Frye Harness Ankle Boots

These delights are not for everyone, but they’re cool if you like a bit of edge with your look. They are not as soft as the rest of the Frye collection, but like Dr. Martens, they become very comfortable after you’ve worn them in. I like these boots best in black. They are available in shades of brown too.

Fidji “E174” Pump

This Portuguese pump launched me into orbit. I haven’t been this excited about a shoe for a long, long time. The studs on the ankle strap, hefty buckle and cylindrical stacked heel are utterly divine I can’t stand it. Extremely comfortable and beautifully made. An easy 8-hour shoe that combines grace with edge. They’re available in olive, cream and black so take your pick.

Fidji “B456” Pump

Another pretty Portuguese shoe. Much like a Fluevog, only more refined. The double ankle strap is more comfortable than it looks because the leather is extra soft and buttery. Fab with jeans, dresses, clamdiggers and skirts and works just as well on a slightly wider foot. It’s also available in black if cream is not your thing.

Fidji “B684” Pump

A unique Portuguese sandal with attitude. Soft leather, secure straps and stable low heel. The metallic leather is divine, contrasting a casual vibe with a glitzy one. Fab with jeans, dresses and skirts. Works for the wider foot too.

Linea Paolo “Jaden” Flat

This is not an 8-hour shoe because the foot bed isn’t soft enough, but the ped should be plenty comfy for up to five hours. I adore the trendy ruched detailing and the almond toe, and the purple colorway is refreshingly new. Worth a squizz for sure, especially if you don’t commute on foot.

Børn “Lovely” Flat

This flat has the potential to be an 8-hour shoe. It’s soft, cushioned and there is room for an orthotic and insole. You’ll probably also be able to stretch the leather if it’s snug on the toe box. This shoe comes in green, pink, yellow, black and silver. I’m digging the slightly distressed matte leather as a refreshing alternative to patent. Versatile, pretty and fun.

Steven Melin Oxford by Steve Madden

These Brogues are stunning. They’re not 8-hour walking shoes because the foot bed isn’t soft, but you might get away with 4 hours if you keep your pace fairly slow. Striking, androgynous and edgy. What a statement! A killer look matched with jeans, a soft feminine blouse and pinstripe blazer. They run small so size up at least half a size.

Clarks Taipei Mary Jane Pumps

Super retro and utterly adorable. Love the heel height, the self colour buckle and adjustable strap. It’s a Clarks ped, so comfort is somewhat guaranteed. I much preferred this shoe in brown and grey as opposed to black, but horses for courses. Go with what tickles your fancy. (This shoe goes all the way up to a size 12).
