Urban, casual yet super chic. Sweet! This adorable shrunken trench coat makes a statement all on its own. Strict military styling with a playful edge. Right up my alley. It’s Euro sizing runs quite small so don’t be surprised if you have to size up. It’s a pretty timeless look in my not so humble opinion.

A great bit of textural bling for underneath a blazer or jacket. Soft, comfy, forgiving and sleek. Love its urban edge. Jeans, heels, pinstripe jacket, fab bag and this embellished T. Hot.

Boyfriend blazers come in two types of cut: tailored or unstructured. The style of this jacket is a little boxy with contrast turn-up cuffs, which makes it more casual. If you’re tall and like to surrender your waistline, you might like this silhouette better than a shorter and more structured version. It looks hip belted at the waist as well. When you belt this look, it’s a good idea to keep the belt black to ensure a long lean line.

These slacks have a smooth fit because of the high contoured waistband and relatively sleek leg line. Unfortunately they still have side-entry pockets which is why they won’t work for everyone. But if you have slimmer thighs, give them a bash. And when you do, iron out the crease lines and sport perfect pant lengths please. The pants on this model are too short!

Calvin Klein plus size jeans fit well. They bag out a little because they’re not premium quality, but it’s not too bad at all. Match up these skinnies with a tunic top or boyfriend cardi, boots or pumps and strut your sleek self off to play.

This turtle neck is ideal for mild Winters and chilly Springs. It offers the visual interest of a layering piece, but sans the bulk and warmth. Sometimes all we’re after is a long sleeved layering T-shirt instead of a warm and woolly item of knitwear. The sheer mock turtle neck does the trick.

This skirt has a great clean fit and a dash of stretch for extra comfort. The wider waistband is flattering and the length is super if you prefer your hemline at the knee or longer. The style will work if you’re slightly pear shaped because it hangs quite straight from the hip (you might need a little waist adjustment though). Classic, polished and very versatile.

Here’s a first. I’m condoning an item of gear for everyday casual use and this is not an April Fool’s joke. The cut and fabrication on this raincoat is sublime. Sleek, urban, fashionable and offering excellent protection against the cold rain and wind. I have several uber-casual clients running around rainy Seattle wearing this item and loving it. If it weren’t for the very visible branding of the “North Face” logo, I’d probably have one too.
