I have not yet fitted this dress on one of my clients, but it will probably be a similar fit to this one because it’s from the same line and in the same fabric. Unlike most sheath dresses, this particular cut works well for ladies with a little extra around the hip and thigh area. Large scale, black and white polka dots are fun, but bold, so consider yourself warned if you prefer a more subtle look.

The substantial but drapey lined fabric is what makes this dress a win. Being in a cotton spandex, it’s extra comfy too. Unusually for this style, the cut works for lasses with a little extra around the hip and thigh area.  Sheath dresses are so versatile so if you find one that fits – grab it.

This shirt is described as “chambray”, but looks and feels much more like denim. It’s fairly tailored and runs true to size. I love the wash, snap-buttons and lightweight handle of the fabric, which is why it was ultimately the denim shirt that made it into my wardrobe. The breast pockets are positioned high enough so that they look fine on a larger bustline too. Thank you Gap for making a fabulous product!

This style is a tunic for some and a dress for others. It’s cute, casual and looks great unbelted too. Swapping out the self fabric belt for a belt of your choice will also work. The sleeves turn up with adorable tab button detailing, so don’t think that you’re married to three quarter length sleeves. Perfect over leggings with flats or heels and just as fab over black cigarette pants.

The “Sonatina” is still the best all round flattering one piece bathing costume available. I’ve had it on curvy hourglasses and athletic rectangles and the fit is very flattering – year after year. Just brilliant. The breast cups keep the bust line in place, while the ruching helps camouflage extra mid riff bits. The plunging neckline is alluring and elongating while the back is low, but not too low. Pop on a wrap, straw hat, thong sandals and you’re ready for a comfortable day by the pool or beach.

Totally divine and flattering. A great knee-length walk short in soft stretch denim with a reasonable length rise. Classic or funky depending on what you pair with it.  Available in white too.

Stunning top. Look at the way those chevron stripes draw the eye in towards the waist. So flattering. And the drape! It’s bold but very cool, and ever so slightly retro. Looks fab over a pencil skirt too.

This is a flop proof silhouette on an extra curvy figure. A beautiful neckline, great length, fun print and perfectly draped front knot detail does the trick camouflaging those little bumpy extra bits around the midriff, while accentuating your graceful long lean line. Pop that silhouette into a 100% nylon mesh fabrication and it doesn’t get any easier to wear or launder.

Just perfect for a lass with a growing belly. Great drape, fun colour and good coverage. You could have the sleeves shortened to elbow length if that’s more to your taste. Layer over a denim, biker or cropped blazer for warmth and match up a pair of comfy flats. You’ll look fab.

Patterned nylon spandex dresses with ruched bust detailing are flattering on the busts, waists and hips of most people. The drape on this dress is fab. I’m sure you’d get away with hand washing this dress so don’t worry about the dry clean only label (I often hand wash my frocks made of this fabric). Wear it classically like you see in the picture, or add an edge with booties and a biker jacket. Either way, this is a flop-proof dress style for ladies who are regular height or petite.
