Due to a laundry malfunction, I unexpectedly needed to replace a short navy puffer jacket (a workhorse wardrobe essential for my style). This is what I chose because it fits well, layers well under coats, is water repellent, has gold hardware, looks dressier than an athletic puffer, is well made, AND half of it consists of recycled polyester. Zara is a more sustainable retailer than you might expect, and a much more affordable one. This cost $50. Furthermore, my other Zara jackets are 5 and 8 years old and look great. Zara might not do fab quality knits, but they generally make well-made woven jackets. Keeping these jackets for longer because of superior quality is sustainable too. The fit is on the narrower side, and goes up to an XXL. Gorgeous rich shade of navy.
