Autumn collections are unfolding in the US. I see a lot of greys, dark greens, and chocolate brown. There are also earth tones, dark neutrals, and greyed colours aplenty. There are some pastels, jewel tones, reds, burgundies, and very few brights. I hope we see more colour variety soon.
The items below were winners on my clients. There are some unusual patterns and colour combinations that are well worth a look. Be sure to browse the colour and size options, and read the reviews.
- Mango Abstract Print Satin Button-Up Shirt: This unusal pattern is lovely, and thankfully a viscose blend (not 100% viscose). Soft, pretty, and not too roomy.
- Tommy Hilfiger Women's Smocked Poppy-Print Sleeveless Top: A uniquely smocked knitted top that works well on petites, and looks punchy layered under a jacket.
- Tommy Hilfiger Women's Windowpane One-Button Blazer: A long tailored navy windowpane blazer with cognac pocket and elbow patch trim. Very lightweight. Looks sharp. Runs narrow.
- Tommy Hilfiger Women's Striped Twist-Hem T-Shirt: A knotted striped tee that works well over most bottoms. The diagonal hem and shorter length that is created by the twisted knot elevates the t-shirt silhouette. Works well on apple shaped body types. Comes in blue.
- Nic + Zoe Around Town Open Front Knit Jacket: A streamlined jacket with an interesting collar closure that does not come through in the stock photo. Handy side entry pockets. Comes in a blue-grey.

- Tommy Hilfiger Women's One-Button Blazer: A comfy KNITTED classic blazer that looks sharper than expected. Fab burnt orange, and fully lined. Runs small.
- SCOTCH & SODA Floral Printed Long Sleeve T-Shirt: Body con tops are trending at the moment, and here's a great example. To wear on its own or as a layering top. There are three unusual patterns in this version. The fabric is viscose-rich, which feels lovely against the skin. There is fluid knitwear to match which creates a fab set.
- VUORI Women's Meta Wideleg Pants: Fantastic ELEVATED athleisure pants that work well on a shorter torso and curvier body type. They work on a straighter figure too. Might need to size up. Comes in tan.
- SCOTCH & SODA Fuzzy V-Neck Jacquard Spencer: Burgundy and Pink Sweater Vest Fabness.
- Lauren Petite Floral Cotton-Blend Sweater: A sweater in an unusual pattern that looks like a watercolour painting. Fitted. Size up for a fluid fit. Comes in petite, and is cotton-rich.
- FRAME Le Easy Flare Raw Hem Jeans: KILLER awesome flared or bootcut jeans for curvier figures. Despite the length, they worked surprisingly well on petite clients and you don't lose the flare when the length is hemmed shorter.
- COS Scarf-detail Wool Turtleneck Jumper: Fluid lightweight sweater with fun scarf detailing. You can wrap the scarf round your neck twice and secure it with a brooch, if you like. The red is more rust and earthy in person. Comes in black.
- COS Scarf-detail Wool Maxi Dress: Cobalt Knitted Dress Fabness with a fluid fit and two side slits. Great drape. LONG, and cannot be hemmed.
- Boden Webbing DRing Belt: If you enjoy a webbing belt, this one in navy and cream is soft and comfy. Comes in sizes.
- J.Crew Daphne topcoat in boiled wool: An excellent unlined boiled coat that is comfy, cozy, and drapes with an architectural integrity. Looks sharp in a relaxed way. It has worked on some curvy figures, and not others. Comes in a range of neutrals and a very dark pine green. Comes in petites and talls too.
- Loft Petite Puff Sleeve Henley Mixed Media Sweatshirt Petite Puff Sleeve Henley Mixed Media Sweatshirt: Super cute cotton-rich sweatshirt with puffed sleeves and henley neckline detailing. Super comfy and not too boxy. Comes in petites and colours. Might run big.
