The outfit may not be the most exciting, but I was excited about it. I fell in love with the color combination instantly. It just worked for me, and I felt both serene and energized the whole day. It also made me face the fact just how much more I love solids than patterns.

The biggest realization of them all is that my summer wardrobe cannot function without the white bottoms. While the beginning of the summer was about my white linen skirt, the last few weeks are about these pants (last time seen here). I only don't sleep in them And everything looks so much nicer, summer-y and ultra-fresh when paired with white.

The sandals are a leftover from my pre-UK wardrobe. I never had a decent pair of casual sandals in the previous 10 years as the climate hadn't required them, so have to sort that out asap next year. Or in the current sales.

And I have painted my toenails turquoise Quite a departure for me (I used either nude-ish or very dark nail-polish in the summer months) and without a hesitation I can tell I never liked any other nail-polish this much.

Thanks for looking. Your comments are always appreciated.
