Why Cox? Well, it’s YLF’s birthday today and I loved Cox apples, the quintessential English fruit according to some sources, while I lived in England

But, since our Mrs Cox is Dutch, I decided today’s apple outfit should be built around the jacket I bought several years ago in Amsterdam. Overall, this is quite dark the spring outfit, but we have slightly cloudy and cool day, and the black base is perfect for the garden BBQ which our friends organise to celebrate their daughter’s birthday.

Shannon, I must confess that I had difficult relationship with this jacket to begin with. It felt like too much utility for me. But over time I accepted it more as stand alone piece and I have also started treating it as neutral colour. I like wearing it more as time goes by. Strange, isn't it

It served me well today and I felt quite unique in the sea of leather jackets.

Is the jacket suede, Ornella? It's a great colour on you (and I imagine a very versatile colour in general), and bookending it with the hosiery (love the pinstripe pattern) and oxfords in the same colour family works wonderfully here. I hope you had fun at the BBQ.

No, it's not suede. It's suede-like though and also much lighter than suede, which is a bonus.
