The resurgence of ‘70s and ‘90s fashion has brought back the neckerchief or “handkerchief scarf”, which is a small square-shaped scarf. It’s tied tightly or loosely around the neck with the ends tucked in or out of sight.

The saddle bag is a rectangular or square bag with rounded edges. It has a long strap so you can carry it on the shoulder like a shoulder bag, or across the body like a crossbody bag. The body of the bag rests on your hip. The large flap opening is front and centre, and is its statement feature.

I included many styles in my overview of trendy footwear for Spring and Summer 2016, but neglected to add a fringe trend that is gaining momentum: the block heel ballerina pump. The mid-height block heel is completely mainstream on sandals, booties, sandal booties and pointy toe pumps.

Most of the Ready-to-Wear collections coming down the runways for Spring 2016 had their version of an off-the-shoulder top. Very alluring, very ‘70s, very pretty, and super fresh. The examples here provide a good representation of the style.

According to Net-a-Porter, flared cropped jeans are THE jeans of the season and seasons to come. I agree, and suggest adding them to your wardrobe in black or blue denim if you’re a trendy jeans gal and wear jeans very frequently. Many of my clients will be adding flared cropped jeans to their denim capsules if they haven’t done so already.
