Zella Inspire review: Eta pic

I'm avoiding BBQ prep so I thought I'd take a moment to rave about these capris. They are awesome. Extremely comfortable, flattering and unfussy. I'm usually a medium in Zella running tights but I took a small in these and they are still quite baggy (but perfect in the waist.) The length is great and the cuffs allow me to pull them up to just the right spot. The fabrication is great too--it's stretchy and breathable. I wore them to the garden store yesterday but tend to wear them mostly around the house. My goal is to try and figure out how to style them so I feel "dressed" in them--as much as I like them, I still find myself changing to jeans if I have to go out in public. It's just a mental block on my part. I'm pretty sure they look like regular casual bottoms--not gear.

I have this same mental block. I can do a 'to-from' from yoga in these pants (or track pants/sweats), but in a MOTG situation, as you say, I feel like I need to switch to jeans.

If you have a solution, let me know!

I am jumping up and down in complete agreement with you, Kelly!! I have these too and wear them practically every day at some point! They are the best! I'm in a small too, and they are quite baggy, but I LOVE them. I pull them on after workouts, or in the evenings, or in the morning, whenever. And perfect if it's hot out. I returned the grey pair bc they weren't quite the right colour for me, but I love the black. Yay for Zella!

I feel the same way that you and Smittie feel. I love them. They are comfortable, but if I am leaving the house, I feel inclined to change.

These look great, kellygirl! Very similar to a lovely pair of American Apparel harem pants I have, which are sadly too shabby to leave the house these days.

My formula for going out in pyjamas is some dressy footwear, a structured tunic or sweater dress and/or a tailored jacket if necessary. Perfect for that quick trip to the supermarket on the way home from the yoga class.

Oh thanks for sharing. i haven't been around in awhile so i haven't seen these mentioned. I think these would address a hole in my wardrobe that I keep filling with cheap harem pants that I love but wear out immediately. I love them!

I think they would look "dressed" if you wear them with
- leather flat sandals
- trendy sneakers
- maybe peeptoe booties
- a tee that is not gear
- a cool accessory

I have a similar pair and I wear them often for kids athletics days, lounge wear, and sometimes for errands with flat black sandals, a hi-low tee and perhaps a hat and sunnies, or a necklace and sunnies.

They sound and look great! I just bought a pair of Zella capris (the Work It, I think) and wish I had gotten these instead, as they look more versatile. (The ones I got look more like gear; I don't think I'd try to wear them as streetwear.)

These look great on you! I had the reverse experience sadly: I'm usually an XS but they looked small so I got a size S at the same time to compare. I thought the S looked better but was too baggy in the back, giving me that old lady bum look. Had to return :(. I wish they'd looked as great on me as they do on you; the fabric is so light and comfy. If I'd kept, I'd also have wondered what to pair them with so I like Inge's suggestions for styling.

OMG ! I JUST bought these two days ago. I also posted on Rachylou's post on shorts. I just love these. I have the city shorts that I have had for two summers and are of the same fabric as inspire. They are so lightweight and pretty rugged. They are awesome "hit the trail/bike " shorts and look good in the city. : )

Following this post because I have the Zella capris in black in a size small. I wear them happily as gear at 22 wks pregnant but it would be fun to think of ways to dress them up. I don't have one but I think a shark bite hem top would look fab with these.

They look great here - that looks like my favorite Pleione top! I think that shoes and some structure in the top are the keys here.
