I’ve always loved the look of this cape/jacket, and just now I was passing Zara on my way to pick up alterations at Nordstrom and this was in the window so I popped in to try it on.

I love it. Fit is great and it’s flattering and fun and feels very me. But my life is so casual — I don’t work in an office and don’t dress up a ton. How to style something like this??

And now for the weird part — I’m oddly drawn to the red one even though I shy away from wearing red. Would it just be too much on me, or too hard to work with, colorwise? I also very much like the white. The black seems the most practical for me, but doesn’t excite me the way the others do.

At $89 it’s not a bad deal for a piece that would get limited wear, but is this something for a fantasy lifestyle or can I make it work for me? Styling suggestions for jeans are welcome! How about styling for summer? It’s pleasantly breezy.
