Column, I would call it a true white — not too optic cold white nor warm ivory. Very harmonious with the whites in the printed tops I tried with it.

Similarly, I find the red to be a nice true red. Not terribly blue or warm — a shade that works for me (I wear cooler and bluer reds better than warmer, yellower ones).

Glad you chose the white, it is perfect on you and mixes so well with all the black and blue pieces you have styled it with.

Oh, I lied! I forgot I did take a pic last night before I left, and I also got a bathroom selfie at my friend’s house (where the house concert was, and yes that bathroom is TDF!). It was lots of fun and I felt totally comfortable — both physically and emotionally — in the cape outfit. I think this is my first wild card purchase of the year!

Bonus pic of Dan Navarro, the musician we saw. He was with Lowen & Navarro for many years before Eric Lowen passed away — if you’re not familiar with them, you surely know their huge song, “We Belong” which was made a hit not by them, but their version is always my favorite. He performed it last night unplugged and it made my cry a little.

I have a really similar cape/jacket thing. I'll be honest, I don't wear it a ton but thats partly due to weight fluctuations and now it fits well. I actually love it on you and don't think you need to have a formal event to wear it - it looks great with jeans and sneakers. I agree, the white is fabulous and might even be easier to wear than the black, especially this season.

Love your outfits with the jacket, but especially love that you saw Dan Navarro. I saw him at a very small house concert a couple of years ago, and it was very touching. I was a big L&N fan back in the day.

The jacket does seem to have a magical quality - all of the outfits are great. Really like the combo with gold.
