Your favorite fashion photos from vacations?

I've been thinking about this for a while: favorite shots where you looked good and look back with fondness.

One of my all time favorites is a photo--well several--from a trip to southern Italy in 2004. When I looked at the photos of me visiting Capri, I thought I looked like a friend of Jackie Kennedy's in her Capri days. As I went through this trip via photos, I found some more I liked--often featuring the same tops. Of course I left out the days I felt tired and worn out. Kind of like how I feel today.

I should add that the multi-colored nylon bag is Saks.

So, if you want to, add your favorites from your travel.

I took a couple of pairs of BR cotton pants and several BR tops. And my favorite hat--not sure where I got it.

We liked Capri so much we went back a second time.

1-4 wandering around Capri.
5-6 Anacapri. I have the first photo framed and sitting on a counter top. Next is our travel up the hill to Anacapri via chair lift.

7 Herculaneum
8 Amalfi and Ravello
9 Ravenna--we just missed the last concert of the year--they were taking down the stage equipment there.

10 Pompei
11 Caserta and this charismatic woman who was our tour guide of the grounds.

These are such great shots. I see the Jackie O! I am so glad we took the kids on so many trips when they were younger, we have lots of great memories - I am buying the first ticket to Italy that I can.

Shevia. You will love Italy. It is a special place. Take your children when they are old enough to drink wine.. Even a trip to Rome is magical although it is best to break it up with a trip to Tuscany or someplace else more calm.

I tend to wear very practical outfits on vacation, with items that aren't at all precious. Still, there's some travel pics that I love mainly because I look so joyful and relaxed in them ;). And I love a good trip down memory lane so I'll play.

Pic 1 and 2 are from a trip to the US in my early twenties. Can I be a bit nostalgic for a second for how I could pull off denim hotpants back then? The dress in 2 was very cute but so short that it was actually hard to move around in without exposing too much.

I'd wear 3 and 4 again today: the black wrinkly dress is one of my oldest items and a summer/travel favorite. I like to channel a bit of hipster chic on holidays (perfect for those organic coffee bars I like to visit) or minimalist French chic like in 4. I think I look more tomboy these days (when not completely utalitarian) because I'm more interested in covering up with thanks & bermudas instead of camisoles and hotpants. Looking back I also think I lost a quite bit of baby fat the last decade, leading to a more yang appearance that works with that tomboy vibe.

Liesbeth, when I looked at that first photo, a sigh of relaxation went through my body. It was such an unusual experience that I had to take note of it. You do look joyful and relaxed in these photos.

You look great in your really short dress, but yes, anything that shows too much does take away from the relaxed feeling--not something I worried about much when I was younger.

Thanks for posting these photos. I'm planning on spending more time looking at the old photos and less time worrying about politics.

These pics look SOOOO familiar! We were there in 2018, MsMaven. The Amalfi Coast is a very special place. I liked Positano best.
