Oh your title made me laugh out loud!!! This is exactly the kind of thing my mother would say. I think it's delightful, on trend and looks cozy soft.

However something was really bothering me about the label/manufacturer's brand name "XIIX"

Which I construed to mean 18 but it is actually the incorrect way of writing 18 (I had to search for a table to confirm it) -- it should be XVIII. Or maybe it means something completely different than a Roman numeral?

well, they are FAUX dead squirrel tails.
(Would faux dead be an oxymoron, then? I mean if they are faux, they are dead, right ? okeeey, I just got myself dizzy there).

I like your scarf. Looks more like feathers to me. Hubby reminds me of the boys who used to have crushes on their schoolmates and would dip the ends of their pigtails into the inkwell.

Actually I like it, and would wear it. I did show it to DH, who is a forester/wildlife biologist thinking he might like it. He took the 5th though. I think he suspected I was setting him up!

We operate on a 'don't ask, don't tell' basis when it comes to weight, hair, and fashion, though he does ask MY opinion on his clothes.

We've been happily married 30 years!

You can tell your husband that he made my day (even if he ruined yours!)

It IS a bit dead-squirrel-tail-like, but in the nicest possible way. I can imagine it must feel super cozy and the colours are a fun mix. I would wear something like it. And dodge my husband's comments. I am SURE he'd say something similar!

I think it looks kind of cool. I showed it to my husband and he thought it was feathers. Don't worry what your husband thinks. His sense of fashion is just underdeveloped.

You know those minks elderly ladies wear, a series of minks, each clutching a mink's tail in their mouth? I love those, and have threatened to buy one (stole?, scarf?) for my dog, but I've always thought it was disrespectful to the minks, given that my dog would rip it to shreds within minutes.

I myself bought a strip of mink (probably cut off the bottom of a coat) to make into a scarf. It is still in the freezer to kill whatever might have been living on it.
