YLF London Meet Up (and a little quiz!)

Just got back from the London meet up and if you haven't attended one of these before, please do, they are a lot of fun! It was great to meet Louise, Dawn, Ele and Jean and I can't wait to do it again - hopefully including some more of the European members of the YLF family!

One of the first things that was said (by Ele I think) at the meet up was that everyone was wearing what you expected them to, so I completely agree - so can you guess...

1. Three of us were wearing black dresses/tunics over leggings or jeggings, who were those three?
(a) Dawn, Fi, Ele
(b) Ele, Louise, Jean
(c) Dawn, Fi, Louise
(d) Fi, Louise, Ele

2. Who was the only person wearing heels?

3. Who was wearing the very cute cream/white moto jacket?

4. Can you guess the colour of Jean's top?

5. Three people made purchases (Ele, Jean, Louise), can you match the purchase to the person? The purchases were, a scarf, a belt and a necklace.

6. At the cafe three of us had tea and two coffee. Can you guess who had tea and who had coffee?

Wow Fi, this sounds great and you are too funny with the quiz. I am afraid I can't quite guess right although 1 must be a or c, since I can not imagine Jean in black, and I would guess that her top was some pretty warm brown shade.

Glad you had a fabulous time!!! Can't wait to see pics and read the write up. I'll take a quick stab:

1. Dawn, Fi and Louise.

2. Louise was the only person wearing heels.

3. Dawn was wearing the cream moto jacket – unless it was Louise. I don’t think Jean has one and Fi only owns one jacket!

4. Jean’s top was a warm shade of brown. Something earthy for sure.

5. Ele bought a necklace, Jean bought a scarf and Louise bought a belt – and broke her shopping ban!

6. Dawn, Ele , Louise had tea – Fi and Jean had coffee.

Very fun! You rock, Fi.

So glad you ladies had such a good time!!

I'm trying the quiz without looking at any other answer first:

1. (a) Dawn, Fi, Ele

2. The heel-wearer was Louise
3. I'm guessing Dawn for the moto
4. Jean's top...rust red?
5. This one's tough! Ok. Jean bought the scarf, Louise bought the belt and Ele bought the necklace.
6. I'm betting Fiona and Ele had coffee while Louise, Dawn and Jean had tea.

There's a fair few right answers here. I did break the shopping ban a teensy bit hey a girl needs a souvernier from such a fab day and it was 90% off!! and the other thing was screaming my name it begged me not to leave the shop without it! x

Okay, I hope you felt me there in spirit ladies and it sounds as though you had a marvelous time,

1) I think Ele would wear black. If Jean was wearing black then question 4 would be a trick question hmmm. I don't think Dawn would be wearing black so I'm plumping for Ele, Fi and Louise.
2) Fi wore heels.
3) Dawn wore the cream moto
4) Jeans top was .... ooo I can't decide between an earthy brown or beautiful green she has sported lately....hmm I will go for brown.
5) Jean bought the necklace, Louise the scarf and Ele bought the belt. I'm saying that even though I know Ele has a vintage necklace addiction.
6) Ele and Fi had coffee whilst condemming the rest of London's appalling cuppas ;)) Dawn, Louise and Jean had tea.

Actually, question 1. is hard because I also think that Ele wore black - but she is not one for leggings. Skinnies yes!

Fi, I think you can let the cat out the bag with the answers here on the forum - just don't tell us about the meet up in greater detail and don't post pictures. We'll save that for your write-up!

Hee hee, I love this thread. Some interesting answers indeed! I wish I could be around tomorrow when Fi reveals the answers, but I'll be on a plane to Italy by then (I know, poor me).

I had a GREAT time today- it was so fantastic to meet everyone and do a spot of shopping in such great company. Fi, Louise, Dawn and Jean, you are all unbelievably fab! I hope there will be many more YLF meet-ups in my future

Ok, going to shut down my computer and try to get some sleep now. See you all in a week's time!

What a tease. I have no guesses that haven't been done but am curious to the answers. I love the quiz format.

So - nice guesses everyone!

The answers:

1. Ele, Louise and I were in the black tunics over jeggings/leggings.

2. Here is the question no-one got right! Ele was wearing a beautiful pair of brown Clarks peep-toes.

3. Yep, Dawn was in the very stylish cream moto - which also had a lovely lining as well.

4. Jean's top was a muted coral shade - which matched her very cool lipstick.

5. Ele bought a necklace and Louise bought a belt at Banana Republic and Jean bought a lovely brown scarf.

6. Ele and I both had coffees (flat whites) and Louise, Dawn and Jean had tea.

I never realised we had a banana republic in th uk till yesterday. I also got a rather cute plaited leather and diamonte bracelet. The belt was an absolute bargain £4.99 down from £45!!! and real leather x

I'm just back in Ireland now, and I am exhausted! It was a fantastic weekend, and it was wonderful finally meeting Louise, Ele, Fi & Jean.

After the meetup finished, I went to visit my older sister who lives outside London for dinner, and finally met her lovely boyfriend and adorable cat. This morning, I went to the Victora & Albert for my museum fix where I must have spent at least an hour in their jewellery collection and also saw the 1:1 Architects Build Small Spaces and Grace Kelly exhibitions. I followed this up with some tasty Japanese food and a visit to a large Boots to buy new makeup brushes from Ecotools.

I also have came to a final decision about Laura's shopping ban. As I was saving my pennies up for the meet-up but didn't actually buy anything, I decided to do the 5 month shopping ban as well.
