Yet another All Saints dress- ETA pictures with leggings

Mine arrived this afternoon, too, and I LOVE it!
But, I'm afraid it's too short.
I sized up and it's plenty loose, maybe even a little too loose, but my regular size was sold out. It's soft and comfortable, the zippers so you can change how it drapes are cool as can be. But it's above my knees and I'm afraid it just doesn't look appropriate on me. SO sad!

I guess I can try it as a tunic, but I'm not a huge fan of that look on me.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

ETA: Pictures #5 and #6 are with leggings- is that better?

I think it looks great on you! Definitely try as a tunic. But if you're not comfortable with the length and don't love it as a tunic.....it's a little spendy to not be a 10/10 IMO. I'll get pics up of mine soon but I think I need a bigger size.

That looks so cute on you!! Column of color is fab. I know what you mean by the length. I like my dresses to the knee. Definitely try it with leggings.

I saw Angie post this and were *sure* you were going to buy this! I love it on you but I know you don't love the tunic and legging look. It would be a tad short for work as is wouldn't it?

Can you wear leggings with it? It's really fab on you and works with the low contrast hosiery. I think we are all used to longer hemlines these days so anything above the knee looks short but does it pass the sit test? The oversize fit makes the shorter length look less short. Does that make sense?

ETA: I love it with the leggings.

Sona- you know me too well! I wouldn't wear it to work (I work in scrubs), but still I think it's shorter than I'm comfortable with even for leisure.

So I tried it with leggings- see pictures at top. I think I like it, but this is not a look I usually wear. I wonder: is it too long to wear as a tunic but too short to wear as a dress?

I think you look fab with or without the leggings! You have to feel comfortable, though.

Actually, I like the length - and you know how pedantic and anal I am about lengths - as a dress with the column of grey (hose and boots). That increases the chic factor to my eye, as does the fact that the dress is loose and boxy.

I love it as a tunic too. You killer gorgeous creature. xo

I do think I'll keep it. Hubby just got home and loves it with the tights! I guess I can wear it that way for date night with him, at least, and with leggings for day.

Parsley - I personally will be heartbroken if you send this back!! You look amazing!! Now don't count me, I am a major leggings girl and they look fabulous with the gray booties. Of course, opaque tights would be fab too. But slim ponte pants, gray skinnies or jeggings? Of course you must love it too, if not then it is not right, but you really truly absolutely look amazing!!

I love it on you;). I would like to see a more opaque hose. I think the length is fine;). You could layer a black knit fitted skirt (knee length) under the dress for length without compromising the integrity of the dress.

I wear this length with tall boots - not that anything is ever short on me. You look fab! I hope I'm not the first to strikeout. Is it easy to wear?

Gryffin, You're too sweet! I've got some gray skinnies, but I don't think they're skinny enough. I will try some more opaque tights.

Deborah, good idea with the skirt, I'll have to try that!

Una, this dress is made for you! You HAVE to try it! It's super comfortable, and the length won't be a problem for you.
I'm going to try mine with tall boots, although that's another saga- I'm trying to find some that fit!

I think you would look fab wearing a potato sack, even.

But, what I see is that this dress might be one of those gateway "idea" items where you see that you would really like something that was almost this dress but a bit more this or that, and so you are getting a better sense of what to be on the lookout for. So something else might turn up that has all the best features of this dress, but works with less work. sometimes even the same maker will come out with a variation.

Ghah! I love it! I think that it looks great on you, both with and without leggings. The coverage of opaque tights make the length work for me. I don't think it is overly short to begin with, though. You have lovely legs to highlight. And the opaque tights make it very covered. Add to that the fact that it is a roomy fit with shaping, but nothing fitted, and it seems perfectly respectable. I'm glad your hubby loves it. It needs to stay. And I bet you'll be shocked how often you reach for it, pairing it with leggings, for a quick but stylish and incredibly comfortable FFBO. Happiness!

I fell in love with the all gray. The black leggings look fine but they just don't appeal to me as much as the gray -- probably because I like the subtle tonal shifts and the black seem abrupt in comparison. Had I seen both in isolation I'd be all over both of them

LOVE THIS. You look fantastic in the first set of photos, but I understand personal opinions about skirt/dress length. I'm uncomfortable at a certain length no matter how many people tell me it looks fine.

I love it with the sheer grey hose and booties! I feel naked in a dress above my knee, so I know how you feel, but it looks very appropriate to me.

I think it looks great with the tights! Less so with leggings. Since this isn't a work dress for you, it's not too short.

I don't think it's too short, you have great legs. I prefer it with the grey hose to the black leggings. Do you have knee boots? That could also be an option if it feels like too much leg.

So wish I'd acted sooner on this one.... Gorgeous.
