Well, I seem to have hit a little motherlode of dresses this spring/summer, but I’m leaning into it, since I enjoy them in the warm weather, and my preferences are not always easy to find.

I spotted this dress on the Nordstrom app and decided to order it to try. It’s a surprise hit! It is patterned and I’m trying to not rely so heavily on patterned dresses, but I really do like the colors and abstract nature of this print. I’m not wild about how so many tiered styles seem to be sticking around, but in this case, the rest of the style is simple enough that I can tolerate the tier.

I’m also not crazy about self-belts, or belting in general for the most part, but I added my very old cognac and silver belt to this and think it works well to shape the waist. I had to tuck the end of the belt around because it’s too long otherwise. The dress is also wearable worn loose and unbelted.

It’s very well-made! 100% organic cotton, and lined in the skirt. Cool and comfortable. Wearing it today as the temps are now getting up into the 80s.

After I took the pic, I noticed the slight gap at the bust — a piece of fashion tape solved that.
