Just got back yesterday from 3 days away in Queenstown, the “adventure capital” of New Zealand. We went to celebrate my UK based sister’s 60th birthday. She is my only sister and moved to England when she was 23, met and married an Englishman. She is doing this trip with her 20 year old son, leaving husband and 18 year old son behind. She and son walked the Routeburn track, one of our beautiful hikes. They came out on her birthday and 8 people went out to dinner.
My husband likes his shorts and even wore them there in the mountain weather!
1-3 Friday evening, walk around and later dinner just us two at Baja, a Mexican restaurant.
4-7 Saturday photos including my sister and her son with us at dinner. Have masked them as they are still away, in Wellington now with other friends so no permission to show them. I love her son’s 80s-looking sweater, he told me he bought it in an op shop (thrift store) in Wellington when he travelled here2 years ago.
8-11 Sunday day trip to nearby town Arrowtown, a walk by the river.
12-13 before Sunday evening dinner.
Thought of the Seattle Fabbers while I was away!
