WweW: Sporty Luxe x 2 - YouLookFab Forum

Our take on the sporty luxe trend! My 3 yr old and I decided to dress alike today DS was very excited that he had the same shirt/pants/shoes as mommy We wore this to run a few quick errands this morning.

I have paired my taupe skinnies (cheapie/old) with a fluid white button down (Newlook/old). Added the sporty touch with my converse gold striped hi-tops (old). I semi tucked and rolled the sleeves of the shirt for some structure. My green structured tote (BCBG/old) completed the outfit. I am not quite sure if this is luxe enough. In my head, the button down and the leather structured tote are the luxe touches and the converse sporty. Have I got it right? Or is this just Sporty Casual?

DS wore his khaki shorts, white button down and Nike hi tops. The full tucked shirt remained that way only until I took the pic ... after which he had a very cool messy semi tuck! We turned a lot of heads and DS clearly stole the show. One reason why we never dress alike... LOL! Who could possibly compete with a cute 3 yr old?!

Love your sneaks! Interesting question whether it is casual sporty or sporty luxe? Never thought of that - I think I veer to sporty casual. I think you've got it here with the white shirt & bag.

I think this is more sporty casual, than sporty luxe... not a lot of luxe in the fabrics. But that does not in any way take away from how good you look. Those sneakers are awesome!

And your DS looks pretty darn cool too.

This looks super Neel! I see it as sporty casual more than sporty luxe. If the shirt was silk then you'd be stepping more into the luxe side. DS is adorable in his oversized duds and sassy carefree pose ^^

Or maybe even Preppy Luxe with the khakis and those awesome gold stripe sneakers? How cute that your son wanted to dress like you - you should probably note this in your calendar or photo album - she says sentimentally after her 27 year old son visited for dinner.
