Hello ladies I hope you are well this Tuesday this morning once is not customary I told myself that I wanted to share with you my work clothes. Today no tie or bow tie but held to work in the workshop. I started one month ago an internship in carpentry I love working wood it is a matter so noble that it must be worked with the greatest respect and I love this craft and artistic side of this work I am so happy to build small cottages that will be used for the next Christmas markets. Today I wear a carpenter's trousers with an old gray shirt that I wore at the time with the uniform of my old work as usual I wear it fully closed is my habit.

I really like how elegant you always look. It's such a refreshing change from all the casual cowboys surrounding me in this part of Texas. I also love that you're learning carpentry, and agree that it is a very noble profession. In building my forever home, I have been fortunate enough to work with several carpenters who have elevated their trade to artistry. Now, if only I could get them to dress as elegantly as you...

I am another that thinks carpentry is a noble profession. I believe carpentry is an art form. You look great ... comfortable and appropriate.

Bernard- how wonderful you are taking up a new creative activity- life long learning is a joy and keeps us young in body, mind and soul.
I will love to see a picture of your cottage when your internship is completed. Someone will have a wonderful Christmas enjoying your efforts.
It is good that you can re- purpose clothes from your previous work so that you get a great cost per wear on items that might sit idle in your closet.
The high button up shirt is a good look for you even without a tie. And of course when you are around tools it is smart to not wear a tie- lol.

Very nice, Bernard, and very appropriate. The shirt looks nice buttoned up. Working with one's hands in building and creating is such a joy - it is very good for the soul. Yes, someone will be very lucky to purchase the cottages at the Christmas market . . . .

Hey Bernard this is awesome. It is as others have said nice to see you in your work attire. I would think that a nice leather apron would be apropos for your field of work. The last I read you were working on your kitchen cabinets are you still working on that or is that project complete? Very Dapper as usual

Ledonna N. Thank you all for your kind words I really relive in this work more we are a nice team that fun. For my shirt I must say that I wear them almost always fully buttoned I think it's my education very Catholic and I have not changed but no matter I like it like that.

Bernard, I just love your posts - you are such a gentleman, and traditional in the best possible sense of the word. I love the idea of dressing well being a gesture of respect towards others - I think I practice this subconsciously, but will begin teaching my children this consciously.

My ancestors were farmers (not nearly as 'noble' as craftsmen, though certainly important and noble in their own right!). I love seeing old photos of them going off to work in the fields as neatly as they possibly could, complete with buttoned shirts, wool caps and tweed jackets. Your philosophy and attitude towards your work exudes the same sense of dignity that is too often lost in modern dressing, and I love that you are doing your part to preserve it. Just love it. Inspiring.

torontogirl Thank you for your kind mes mesage I like so much respect other people. For me the shirt is the coat that gives this respect in all that for men for a very long time you quote me with your counters who worked in the field buttoned shirt, I love it and I try to keep it now I hate to see these shirts half-unbuttoned I think it's unfit.
