I haven't spent much time here this week as I had a whole string of annoying events to deal with: no internet for a couple of days, broken heater (which had to be fixed twice), broken bathroom lights, broken closet rod holder and a few more. Luckily, everything has been fixed, and I hope it stays that way, especially since I will be taking the next week off.
I was wearing the most recent outfit formula exclusively for all the outdoor outings. I went through all the four suggestions from the blog, plus a fifth version, matching skirt and sweater set. I am showing all the outfits with and without coats & bags.
1) (#1-2): Chunky, Fluid & Neutral: old oversized black cashmere turtleneck, black & white tweed midi skirt, black riding boots, plus reversible short black puffer and studded cross-body bag.
2) (#3-4): Dressy Pretty Edge: slightly less dressy than the original, as the sweater is short and chunky: textured navy/rust/cream sweater, cream/bone pleather skirt, rust booties, plus navy/rust wrap coat and navy cross body bag.
3) (#5-6) Flared Pattern with Hard Edge: thin black mockneck sweater, patterned pleated midaxi skirt, black booties, black peplum leather moto, black cross body bag.
4) (#7-8) Sweatshirt and Pencil skirt: featuring my ancient black dolman asymmetric sweatshirt that makes me think of "Flashdance" movie, worn with navy ponte pencil midi, black combat booties, black faux fur moto and black & white cross-body bag.
5) (#9-10) Sweater and Skirt Set: knit set in black/light grey houndstooth, black riding boots, reversible puffer and crossbody bag.
Outerwear challenge:
1) Reversible (pleather/faux fur) black puffer (outfits #1 and #5). This is a very fun piece from last year, that is also very warm. Probably my favorite coat for casual skirts/dresses outfit built around black.
2) Navy/rust wrap midi coat. Thinner, unlined and beautiful quality. Got tons of wear to work pre-pandemic, perfect for midis.
3) Black leather peplum moto, a NAS find from this year to replace my worn out old one. Works as outerwear in warmer weather (it was gorgeous outside today) and as a topper indoor when it's colder.
4) Black faux astrakhan moto - another fun pandemic find. Slightly competing with #1 for wear, however works in much warmer weather so wearing opportunities shouldn't overlap that much.
