We've been having high summer weather here this last week or so, which means it's time to break out the summer dresses! I don't wear dresses very often in the winter, because I hate tights, but love them in the more temperate months.
1: Worn to a business casual evening reception earlier in the week (and work beforehand). My navy COS swing dress with white blazer and dark teal patent oxfords.
(COS dress, Greylin blazer, Pretty Nana oxfords)
2-3: Liberty dress for a really hot day. I only wore the denim jacket on the excessively air-conditioned bus. I also pulled my white purse (with snake contrast) out for the summer.
(Sailor rose dress, AE jacket, Naot sandals, Halogen bag)
4-5: yet another blue and white print dress (sense a theme here?). This outfit was from last week when it was cooler, hence the boots and (lightweight) wool jacket. This dress is comfy but I feel like maybe it is a little too boho/unstructured for me. Something about the fit/shape of the shoulders and neckline feels sloppy to me (I added the scarf in part to cover up the neckline). See the find photo below - I think it looks better on the model than on me.
(Caslon dress, AT scarf, Frye boots, Tulle jacket)
6-7: Not a dress. Wearing this today for a very hot, long day that involved a lot of walking in the morning followed by a long day at work. Bomber is for AC only! Funny thing was, I had breakfast with two friends and one of them was wearing the same sandals (in black) and the other had the same bag in a different color (Longchamp le pliage, not shown here). Apparently I choose my friends for their fashion taste.
(Anthro top, French connection pants, Naot sandals, HInge bomber)
