I never have too many occasions to dress up ... especially with heels and formal pants! However, the last few days called for some dressier than usual outfits and here they are. I have been a bit under weather the past few days. It's flu season here and the entire family is down O_O. Without taking too much of your time ..... here we go!
1/2 - I wore this today for one of DH's formal events. I had to dress for a conservative crowd (no sleeveless, shoulders to ankles covered). I am wearing navy ankle length pants (Mango/new) with a blush shell top (Zara/new). I threw on my black mixed media jacket (Mango/old) for the arm coverage and to make the outfit more business casual. Ankle strap pumps (New Look) and striped clutch completed the outfit. I think the outfit suited the occassion. It was interesting but not too *on your face* kind of business casual.
I like it ... although I had planned to wear a white top. Clumsy as I am, I spilled BB cream on my favorite drapey white top from Mango (seen here). I tried removing it with water but no help. Hopefully the dry cleaner would be able to work some magic on it Any advices on how to remove it?
ETA: The good old detergent soap bar did the trick. Soak and rub! The top is as good as new ^_^
3 - My version of Angie's bootcut with wrap top ensemble. My wrap top needs a serious upgrade and I am on the look out for one. For now this old one from New look will have to do Baby Bootcut Jeans are from Next. Ankle strap pumps completed the outfit. No handbag since I didn't need one for the morning school run.
ETA: I was so overheated in this outfit ... I couldn't wait to get home and strip off my clothes. I need to remember we are still at 100F and I shouldn't wear heels for school drop offs. I have to cross the football pitch.
4 - I wore this to an upscale mall here. People are usually dressed to their nines here. So I had to live up to the reputation of the mall I am wearing windowpane print pants (H&M/old) with my pajama-esque top (Zara). My white studded handbag (Steve Madden) and red pointy toed flats (Zara) completed the outfit.
So how did I fare? Thanks for looking as always. All suggestions for improvement are welcome
