Three outfits from this week and weekend, and a haircut!
1-2: My handknit black cashmere sweater again, this time paired with my b/w micro check wool pants and black riding boots. This time I wore the collar piece loose, like a scarf thrown over one shoulder.
(handknit sweater, BR pants, Blondo boots)
3-5: Another mostly black and white outfit, with a bunch pattern mixing. (I say mostly black and white because the handknit vest technically has some bluish undertones that you may or may not be able to see in #5.) I don't love that the back panel of the blouse is black - I think it looks a little funny from the back, but otherwise I really liked this outfit. It feels very typically me.
(Bellatrix blazer and blouse, handknit vest, CoH jeggings, Naot boots, Longchamp bag).
6: More dark neutrals, with purple this time. I wore this today to go out for brunch and errands afterwards. It was a lot warmer today so I decided to make the most of the weather and wear my shorts (with tights, of course). The vest is the same one as in the previous outfit. Really like how this one turned out too.
(handknit vest, Gap top, Uniqlo shorts, H&M tights, Sam Edelman boots, MZ Wallace bag).
So, obviously you can tell that between the second and third outfits, I got a long-overdue haircut and color. It's the same inverted bob and burgundy color I have been getting for a while now; my hairdresser was actually showing someone else how to do the haircut, so I got to learn all the details about it myself as well! (For example, apparently the undercut has five separate layers, but they get longer as you go outward unlike normal layering.) The longer hair looks nice but had gotten super wild, heavy, and annoying, and did not play nicely with hats and scarves and coat collars. In #6, I haven't washed it yet after the salon so it's a little more "done" than I would normally wear it - I wouldn't round it out so much at the bottom if I were doing it myself (I prefer a little more angled and more RATE look.)
PS - in the second and third outfits, I am wearing the new white Skagen watch I got last month. I think the pop of white is fun and just enough white for me, plus it is very Angie-esque which makes me smile.
