I have a whole bunch of unposted WIWs from August and July, and I am going to try to slowly catch up going backwards. I have gotten into a small habit of wearing the same formula a couple of days in the row, with different pieces, which you may have seen from my recent internship outfits posts.
These three outfits are from Wednesday through Friday last week, thus my lab work outfits, and all based on the ruffle hem top and cropped jeans formula, with my trusty silver RM bag and white MK watch. They are all also neutral and pretty simple. I liked the fact hat they were "quietly trendy" - only a person who is into following trends would notice it, to most people who are not interested in fashion they would look quite unremarkable.
#1, Wednesday: black ruffle hem BR top, medium-wash cropped straight BR jeans, Report lace slip-on sneakers, silk polka dot skinny scarf. The jeans are fairly new, got them at beginning of NAS at BR on clearance for about $20 and never posted. They could be a tad too long for shoes but look good with ankle booties. Since the cold weather is coming I may consider shortening them a little only in the spring if they do not shrink in the wash.
#2, Thursday: navy ruffle hem ON top, cream Guess lace bomber, dark wash Express cropped kick flare jeans, navy Gap oxfords and navy neckerchief scarf.
#3, Friday: white Loft ruffle hem sweater, light wash cropped straight Genetic Denim jeans, pale blue Pikolinos oxfords.
