Weather has finally gotten a little nicer around here (read: can wear denim without wanting to die). Here are a few recent casual outfits.
1: A "dress" consisting of a longish tee over a shortish tube skirt. I wish I could find a real dress that fits like this!
(Allsaints tee, Tulle skirt, Born gladiators, MZ wallace bag)
2: Casual Tanglewood outfit with my old 100% cotton BF jeans and a black linen tee.
(Gap jeans, AT tee, Halogen bag, Naot sandals)
3-5: The debut of the hacked cropped flares (another 100% pair from the Gap). I paired it with this fun map print tee that I picked up yesterday at the Anthropologie sale (I also bought two dresses and another top....), gladiator sandals, and my big teal tote.
The jeans ended up pretty much fringing themselves in the wash! I was surprised because other jeans I've hacked have ended up with a more scraggly looking fringe, but maybe the 100% cotton fabric lends itself to a fluffier, fuller fringe. All I had to do was snip off the long dangling warp threads.
(Gap jeans, Anthro tee, MZ Wallace bag, Naot gladiators)
By the way if anyone wants to play with the cropped flare jeans, I noticed when I was adding the find today that they are dirt cheap right now ($19.99 + additional 40% off today), and they were really easy to hack/fringe. I really like them - they are a great, soft 100% cotton denim.
