A couple of recent WIWs featuring linen pieces.

1-3: Gored trumpet midi skirts are one of my HEWIs and quite possibly my favorite shape of skirt ever. They are also nearly impossible to find, so I was thrilled to spot this one at J Crew; it's super well made, fits perfectly, and is the exact shape that I love. It also comes in white and navy; I must admit I'm kind of tempted to buy it in white as well. It's slightly heavy for summer but I think that's a good thing because it can be a three season skirt.

I wore it for father's day brunch this sunday with a silky printed high-low top, skinny belt, and gold sandals. Loved this, although I think I would have preferred my gold bag to the white one.

(J Crew skirt, Tulle blouse, AT belt, Born sandals, Halogen bag).

4-5: Another J Crew linen item, this time my navy trousers which are a couple of years old. (They are the same style as my orange ones, but for some reason the navy feels slightly smaller and narrower.) I liked this combo with the handknit cobalt batwing sweater a lot, although I think maybe the white tank underneath was too bright and next time I'd probably sub my beige tank instead. What do you think?

(handknit sweater, Halogen tank, J Crew pants, Dansko sandals, Kate Spade bag).
