My summer part-time office internship is coming to an end, there are only a couple of weeks left. Thus I am using every possible occasion to wear a skirt or a dress. It is kind of funny that I call it an office internship as this week was the first one I actually spent in the office, before it was all running around the campus doing million different things with the high school kids. We are also suffering through a nasty heat wave here on the East Cost, the weather is quite difficult to tolerate. I am dreading spending the rest of the week in my lab since I have to wear long pants - I will probably break out loose linen and silky track pants.
So, yesterday and today were spent sitting in the office at a computer. Excuse the wrinkles, as both photos were taken in the evening after the whole day of sitting. The outfits are very similar, both involve slightly longer skirts with breezy tops, and feature combining blush top with a skirt in darker red tone. I even wore the same shoes (Nine West cream wedges) and bag (RM silver satchel both day).
Monday, 8/15, I wore a burgundy/pink skirt that was a hand-me-down from a good friend. I really like the burgundy paisley pattern and little ruffle at the hem. I combined it with blush Mango shell and white CM vest, inspired by Summer Blush & Burgundy ensemble from last year.
Today, 8/16, I wore a tomato red BR Sloan midi skirt. It was an impulse clearance purchase at the end of the spring after the same skirt in black received lots of praise on the forum, as well as after the success of the cropped tomato pants capsules. I wore it with JCrew cropped boxy white/blush/tomato blouse, inspired by Blushing Tomato ensemble from this spring.
