#1 is the final bubble skirt outfit from last Friday's party. I got several compliments so I guess nobody noticed the saggy-boob wardrobe malfunction! (If you don't know what I am talking about check out last Friday's realtime post...) As you can see, I went with the pointy booties as I decided that the skirt looks odd with tall boots (it's so voluminous that it looks much better without any extra volume on the lower legs).

#2-3 is what I am wearing today. I like the idea but the execution failed a little bit, I think. The teal sweater is an old handknit that I don't wear too often because it has some fit issues; the shoulders don't sit right, and the center front pulls up too much for my taste, and it's simultaneously too warm (bulky yarn) and too cold (cropped length, full of holes). Also, this blouse is exactly the right shape, material, and length to get stuck between my legs when I walk, which is super annoying, not to mention unattractive. Does anyone have any solutions for this other than just shortening it? It won't work to put another layer underneath because anything long enough to prevent the issue will also show through the side vents, and it's not staticky. Belting it and blousing it out (effectively shortening the whole thing) does seem to work, but of course it changes the look and doesn't work with the cropped sweater any more.
