WIWx2 - BF uniform and dress with denim jacket

The first outfit is what I'm wearing today, perfect for a drizzly day. This is basically what I've been wearing lately, jeans with a tee and these booties or sneakers - all in neutrals. Going to add my navy utility jacket, so there's not much color in the outerwear either. Very boring. My wardrobe is one big malfunction right now, with so many things worn out and others not fitting me right anymore. Hair is still wet...

The second outfit is atypically dressy, not the norm at the moment. I forgot to post the picture when I took it. And the hair is a mess. I hope it won't take too long to get to a better length/cut.

Your first outfit is great - you sound down on it or yourself but I think you look terrific. And your hair looks good to me too!

I love your tee and jeans outfit!

I just realized, in light of your recent hair thread -- have you tried a side part in your hair? That might help change up the shape for you -- I found this made a big difference for me in getting a little more volume at the top of my head rather than on the sides. Just be warned that if you've had it center parted for a long while, it will likely be a little stubborn and take a few days to "settle" when you part it differently. Just an idea!

Well I think you look terrific I especially love those BF jeans on you Astrid. They are oh so flattering and comfy looking all at the same time. And there's nothing wrong with repeating when it looks this good.

Transitional weather is frustrating to dress for - it's hot, it's cold, it's wet, it's dry. Who the heck knows how to dress?

I looked at the pics before reading your description and honestly thought on seeing #2 "Oh her hair looks great!". I don't see a mess at all.

I'm sorry your wardrobe is frustrating you so much; you look lovely in both of these outfits. I actually like the different neutral colours combined together, but hopefully your scarf collection lets you get a taste of colour when you need it!

Isn't that the point of BF jeans to give us ladies that "authentic BF look. I think you look perfectly fashionable in #1 primarily because the jeans fit so well and are so flattering. (They don't need the help of bells whistles or color) Also I love #2 I love the tights with the moody floral print on the dress. The green of the scarf is one of my favorite shades and I think the denim jacket provides the right amount of rustication. 2 great outfits -- nothing boring here.

The first outfit is really great! Nicely polished casual. The second looks classic Astrid to me, down to the patterned tights ^^

I also find myself wearing the same things over and over because I love the look and feel of the outfits. Maybe try just a few changes here and there but keep what's comfortable and easy. We have favorites for a reason.

Thanks Janet! I haven't tried a side part for some time, because as you said the middle part seems to be stubborn. But maybe I've given up too early.

Thanks Eva! I do still use my scarves, but not as often as I have in the past. But it still is a nice option to get some color!

Thanks Harmonica! The problem is I already had to purge quite a lot and there just isn't that much left. If I went and took out all the pieces that were worn out, ill-fitting or a bad color there wouldn't be much left besides the stuff I'm wearing all the time right now!

Thanks Kathy! That's true, although even my minimalist self feels a bit limited by so few pieces. Maybe I'm not as minimalist as I thought. Or they aren't the right pieces.

It may be just a period of change that is unsettling rather than your wardrobe per de... Just manifesting there. Just a random thought. Pay no mind if it does not seem to apply!

That first outfit looks just awesome though. No embellishment or colour needed. Sometimes subtlety speaks in really impressive tones. The little graphic on the tee is all you need to keep it intentional.

You really wouldn't know from your outfits that you were experiencing a bit of wardrobe dissatisfaction. Both outfits are more than fine and they both show essence of Astrid, just in different ways. Hair looks good to me, I like Janet's idea though. I changed my parting a couple of years ago too
