I posted last week as I was fence-sitting about what to do with some booties I had ordered from The Rack in an attempt to get more white (esp. shoes) into my life. http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....booties-kr I got tons of great support on how to style them, including numerous examples of Angie's similar boot/styling from dear Inge, and so took a stab at an outfit today featuring these babies. I knew I wanted to try my leather front EF leggings and a big shirt recently purchased from Loft. I like the idea of softening the hard black leather with a soft cotton shirt and matching white animal print booties. I wanted to look extra fab as we were having a Town Hall meeting (at the Seattle Art Museum) to 'meet' the CEO from the company that is acquiring us. The outfit was intended to make me feel up and positive in a very hectic time...and I have to say it helped immensely. My fave 2014 consignment find (the purple Versace coat) always boosts my mood, so it had to come out along with my white workhorse zebra clutch (see what I did there?). The boots were not only comforable for all day and quite a bit of walking, but they garnered a number of compliments, which, while not the goal, is still nice. So thanks ladies who chimed in on my request for help, as I think I can make these a fab addition to my avant garde capsule! Stay tuned for low contrast/white jeans looks...
