The week in review. It has been very hot here (over 30C /86F) every day, so my summer clothes are definitely back in high rotation. It has been fun integrating last year clothes into this years wardrobe, and I have been pleased with how much I still like, given that I was very much feeling my way this time last year.
1.My oncology appointment. Repeat from last week, but with sandals.

6.Weekend - lunch with a girlfriend

The crop in #4 is too short to wear without anything under unless the bottom is very high-waisted. Does it work with the top underneath?
The top in #5 was probably a mistake. I bought it because I thought the cross-over draping would be flattering, but in fact it moves around enough that I need to wear a crop under it, which defeats the purpose for me.

All of your outfits look great! I really like how you styled the crop top in #4. I think it definitely works. I'm not as sure about the top in #5. I think it looks fine as it is. Could you take it in or alter it another way to make it work better for you?

Love these outfits!! The shapes are so beautiful, minimalist, clean and streamlined, but with interest in pattern and cut. The neutral/pastel colors are beautiful as well. The layering in #4 works really well for me -I love both outfits with white lacy tops. With #5 I might be a little thrown off by the unstructured shape of the top as compared to your usual structured style. I think it looks fine with an underlayer, but might be warmer that you want that way. How does it work fully tucked in? The black skirt in that outfit is gorgeous.

You have a real style point of view. I love outfit two, and your mug is awesome! When I worked contracts from home I counted my mug as an accessory!

You look lovely in white, and your great legs give you lots of options with the abundant shorter-length dresses, skirt and shorts on offer.
Would your cropped top in #4 work with the black tulle skirt in 5?

KL, I don't think I can alter it. I may try it untucked with some other bottoms
rabbit, you are exactly right! I have been trying to put my finger on why the top wasn't working and as you have said, it is unstructured. I will try it with more structured bottoms. Thank you!
Elly, I have been trying to take photos every morning, so am multi-tasking with the all important caffeine ingestion job.
LynD, SO hot today - we have put the AC on which we hardly ever do. I have worn the cropped top with a black cami and the black skirt and I think that probably worked better. I will try it when it gets a bit cooler.

Sharon, you look wonderful. I am studying your style very carefully. The simplicity and architectural integrity greatly appeal to me.

I think the lacy crop in #4 works brilliantly; in fact it's one of the better versions of this short over long thing I have seen. I do think lower contrast and a silky underlayer seems to make this proportion easier somehow.

I also like the other lace top outfit.

As for 5, it looks great from here, but I understand how frustrating a loosey-goosey neckline/ armhole can feel. There is something about it that is irritating and that feels the very opposite of alluring. Plus, if you have to layer, it's useless in the heat. Shame, though, because the outfit looks great!

My favourites are #1 and #2, but all of these are fantastic.

Suz, I hate feeling like I have to constantly adjust my clothes to make them sit right, and that's how I felt with the top in #5. Lesson learned - no loose necklines for me!

Love your style! It is hard to pick favourites.....they are all beautiful on you in their own way.....but I'd say 3,5 and 6. It is wonderful to see such gorgeous, modern Australian fashion style on this forum.

I was thinking about your issue with the top in #5 Sharon....double sided tape can work well to secure 'mobile' clothes. It can help a lot in keeping pieces where you want them stay. May be worth a try.

I really need to steal your wardrobe! Such beautiful pieces and 2 and 4 are my absolute favorites! You look amazing in whites. Fantastic layering for hot weather in 4.

Too bad about the top in 5 ... But it does look beautiful with the skirt!

It's fun to see summer outfits on a record cold day. My favorite is 2, then 1. I also like 4 and think the way you styled it looks great.
