WIWW: Target find

Have not been to Target in years, so coming back is like entering a really great flea market--just fun design and color everywhere.

Was hard pressed to pick just one top, but came home with this sleeveless, grass-green, trapeze-cut linen thing. It is beautiful--the photos don't really do it justice.

Only problem is the too-big arm holes. What do you do in such a situation? Sticky bra? Bralette? Advice needed.

Beautiful green color trapeze top!

I've seen some women wear a colorful bra so it is deliberate to see the bra with large arm holes, but I'm curious what suggestions others will have.

The color is fantastic. Ideally a tailor could probably raise the straps or otherwise fix the problem, but I would probably just layer a cami or tank underneath.

I love Target Carol — some of my most complimented clothing items come from Target. Right now they have a variety of jumpsuits from denim to rayon to linen. Glad you found something you liked!

Love it, perfect for summer. If armholes are too big I wear a fitted cami underneath in the same colour or a complimentary colour. I make it part of the outfit IYKWIM.

What a pretty piece, the color suits you very well! I would try a different shape of bra or a bra in a tonal color with the top. It would look intentional, as Lisa says.

What a beautiful color! I’ve gotten a lot of great stuff from target. Lately they’ve been my go to place for lounge/sleep wear.
Anyway if you decide to try alterations just make sure what ever is done doesn’t make getting the top on or off difficult-lesson i learned the hard way. The strap was shortened but that didn’t leave me enough room to easily slip the top on or off.

Pretty top on you -- I like the square neckline.

I sometimes switch the type of bra if this is a problem. Alternatively you can take up the straps. It's an easy alteration with a sleeveless item.

Cute top! This wouldn’t bug me too much, it doesn’t seem like your bra is visible/obvious until you raise your arm? I wouldn’t be wearing a tank top to work anyway. I think the fit is good including the neckline right where it is and wouldn’t want you to take up the straps.

Do you have any other bra? I have a few slightly different cuts of bra so can usually find that one of them works if this happens with a top.
The top is such a pretty colour on you.

Is the bra very noticeable when you move? Maybe you can get away with it. Try adjusting the straps too - make them longer - so that the bra fits lower on your body, IYKWIM.

That said, a bra that is more cut away under the arm is a good thing to have for sleeveless dressing anyway

Jaime--yes, the length actually feels perfect right now, and I think the arm holes are deliberate. thank you.
Avicennia--Thank you, I did see quite a lot of jumpsuits. I am not too into those right now, but they are pretty.
Star--thanks. yes, I am sure that is the most practical way to go. I have a pale aqua cami in sporty material--maybe that one.
Sisi--thank you. Yes, intentionality seems to be the name of the game.
kkards--yes, thank you. I probably won't alter it--it seems just right as it is. I will just adapt to these armholes...

Angie--thanks. I am starting with just "no bra," since I am wearing it at home--still cute. Then I need to find these other bras everyone talks about.
