Update: My friend looks stunning, as I expected she would, in this dress also. She's taller than I, 5'7", so it is at her ankle.

This is a PSA if anyone has a formal event or needs a simple, elegant long dress at a super great price. I have no upcoming need for this dress, but the classic look of it, then the price point, made me take a chance since it was final sale at Banana Republic. I paid $28 for this dress! I seriously think it was mispriced. There is not a single other item on sale this deeply discounted. But, most importantly, the fit is almost perfect except it is a tad long. It's unbelievably comfortable. I recommended it to a friend whose son is getting married and she immediately ordered it in 2 sizes, just in case!

I love the high neckline but the cut outs and the slit make it very sexy without being super revealing. I am wearing a regular bra and not even a slip under it in these photos (I would wear a slip). I sized up to 6 from normal 4, so it is not clingy at all. What do you guys think about the length?

Hard to see, but it's navy not black, so shoes will be metallic or nude. Tried it on with some old, inexpensive sparkly shoes.

I really hope I have an occasion, or we make an occasion, to wear this soon! We have entered the phase of weddings of the children of our friends, so probably will wear it within the year.
