I was trhilled by this week's blog ensemble : olive and its cousin colors army and sage green are among my all-time favourites!
To put the blog tips into practice I decided to pair two of my wardrobe workhorses : a dark olive dress a sage green blazer.
First thing I noticed : I had never thought of wearing them together. Why? No clue.

For Outfit #1, I added my only metallic shoes - gold summer wedges. I accessorized in a more maximal way than I'm used to : layered necklaces with white stones, gold stud earrings and a chunky heritage gold bracelet. I added a white bag to finish the outfit, and realised I would have loved a sand camouflage bag with gold hardware instead (but I don't have one).

I really liked this outfit, but won't be able to wear it before summer comes.

Outfit #2 is more pragmatic for today - a day of running errands in town. There is a flood alert in our region, and although the floods are minimal in my town, tall country boots seemed to have the best style/practicality ratio. I added a leopard scarf and a brown bag for a more "adventurer" feel (my country boots look like my grandmother's vintage bush boots and always make me think of the bold traveller she was).

Outfit #3 is how outfit #2 actually looked like when I got out of the house. I needed a coat and gloves, and sadly no more olive was on sight. *Sigh.

Even if my final outfit did not feel much "olive all-over", I greatly enjoyed the process and the blog article and the associated threads from other members sparkled some good ideas! Thank you all! I'm really enjoying my time here on YLF and I am eager to read your insights, tips and comments.
