About 8degC but feels like 5degC and drizzling. DH and I went out for a long walk, and a treat. DH complained that his ears were cold! Serves him right for wearing a thin ball cap. I wore a wool cap, leather gloves, and wool socks, and was fine with the activity.
Six years ago we spent the month of April travelling in Ireland, Wales, and England. Towards the end of the month we were in Cardiff for 3-4 days. Every day we walked through a park full of blooming magnolia trees that was near our B&B. DH and I were instantly captivated by these gorgeous trees. When we relocated in 2014, DH moved down 4 months before me - and in May reported that the climate was hospitable to magnolia trees. Every spring we walk the neighbourhoods spotting old discoveries and new. Two years ago we planted a Yellow Bird magnolia to celebrate our 35th anniversary.
