Wiw...too much leopard?

Dear daughter did not want to post today since she is wearing the same as yesterday. However she did declare that I overdo the leopard in this outfit. Do you agree? Posting picture
Of the inspiration for this outfit. Trying to achieve this vibe.

I would avoid leopard on the bag and on the shoes at the same time, but it's not bad, it's lovely as the rest of the outfit is simple and casual

I'm not particularly against two lots of leopard in one outfit, but what bugs me slightly is the fact that the print on your shoes seems to have a different overall tone of colour to the bag. I think the bag reads as cooler and darker compared to the yellow-toned, lighter vibe of the shoe. In the pinterest pic the cuff and clutch seem on a similar tone range. So I guess I'm saying I like the principle of the idea. I do like the effect of your styling though.

Wonderful to see you post again, Jayne. I really like the vibe of the outfit and in principal don't mind two leopard print items in one outfit, but I was thinking the same thing as Diane here. What do you think?

You look great! I think Diane is right. The issue is not too much of the print, it's that the prints come close to matching but not enough to look intentionally matchy-matchy. I wear animal print shoes and bag together a lot, but I combine a larger scale print on the bag with a smaller, slightly different print on the shoes. As someone who lurves the leopard, I was prepared to come in and say "HUSH YOUR MOUTH THERE IS NO SUCH THING."

But, uh, I have to agree with the others. I certainly don't think a bag and shoes in leopard is too much, but these don't quiiiiiiite work together, since they're different colours of leopard - the shoes are so much brighter and yellower, and the bag so much darker and brown-er, it doesn't quite jibe.

I do love the outfit, on the whole, though, and love your interpretation of the inspiration. The look is quite fetching, and I love that jacket on you.

Jayne, apart from the leopard thing, this is one of my favourite outfits of yours, ever! That jacket was made for you. You are glowing in it. I think I prefer with the bag and a different shoe, perhaps.

thanks so much for the great feedback.I may have to start listening to the DD. :-). I must admit that this bag is not often used and I think Janet has a great idea, trade up for a larger print that could work with these booties. do you think my black bag from yesterday would have worked ok or a maroon one? Will update above with a picture.

I know I am more conservative, but I would say that unless you're just compelled to have animal print in both bag and shoes, I'd do one or the other and find some other type of "interest" to use in the other item--perhaps animal print shoes with a cognac or bronze metallic bag or vice versa, or some stud trims, or red or another color. I just find that more interesting and less risky, so that's me.

I think the actual outfit is terrific, though and you really achieved a great look.

Jayne, you do look great but I also agree that it is probably better to have just one or the other in this case - the shoes or the bag. I've wondered about the amount of leopard myself - like if you wear a leopard belt, should it be the only leopard in the outfit , etc. I guess I would treat it like a "pop of color" and use it mostly in one place. Or maybe like shoes and a bracelet.

I think if the leopards were two difference sizes, they would work really well together. That's a fun bag you have here.

I agree with everyone else. Maybe a different scale on one of the leopard prints. I love animal print anything. I really like your look.
