This is my second summer in the Dallas area, and it’s normal hot, or so I am told. (Ginger, are you around here, too?). I won’t use the pool until after 4:00 and even then with a rash guard and hat. Loose clothing and I cover up in longer dresses and sleeves more often than not.
Hi Preppy! Yes, I'm on the Fort Worth side. Usually slightly hotter and slightly less humid than the Dallas side. This is definitely a cooler-than-average summer so far, even not considering the minor "cold" front that's arriving today. Of course, "cool" is a relative term. Last year at this time we were setting records at 108/109F.
