...or maybe not so subtle! A last minute invitation to a holiday open house at the home of one of DH’s golfing buddies resulted in a simple and comfortable outfit jazzed up with a bit of bling. No dress code for this 2 hour (2-4 pm) shin dig. A dozen couples. The men knew each other, and about half the women golf. I knew no one, but fell into easy conversation - and connected with a kindred spirit. One of the women was very interested in my vintage pin! I don't wear it much, because it is very heavy and requires a heavy/stiff fabric or else it drags the garment down. There were a few funny sweaters, but mostly dark pants and fancy tops for women and shirts with Christmas ties for men.
