WIWs--transitioning into fall

I am back to working in-person and the weather was unseasonably warm until a couple weeks ago, so these are a few transitional work looks.

1) Meetings: Dries Van Noten sweatshirt (the RealReal (TRR)), Nili Lotan pants (TRR), Troentorp clogs

2) Meetings: Akris Punto top (the Rack), same Nili Lotan pants, snakeskin clogs (6 pm? a long time ago...), necklace (maybe World Market, also a long time ago, I was pleased with the bookending with the clogs); these sleeves seem so over-the-top IRL, but in this pic they seem really tame--funny how that works!

3) Teaching, still warm but starting to cool off a little bit, thankfully: AllSaints dress (TRR), Stuart Weitzman boots (Saks)--this looked better IRL, I think--the dress has a nice drape and some movement to it

4) Teaching, finally some fall weather and I get to do some layering, which is my favorite: Dries Van Noten brocade short-sleeved top (TRR), Alex Mill striped button down, COS pants, Vic combat boots (Yoox)

I am so happy the weather is finally cooling off! Comments and feedback welcome!

Jonesy, I love your style! All looks are excellent. The sweatshirt in no 1 is beautiful on you and I really like the combination with the clogs. The second outfit is interesting and sophisticated, and you are right - great bookending with the clogs and necklace. You do the dress - chunky boots combination like nobody’s business! You look amazing in the dress. Your wardrobe is wonderful.

As my Italian grandfather would say... Ya look sharp, kid! I love all of this - the prints and your overall palette is beautiful.

I'm hard-pressed to say which look is my favorite, but I think it's #4, because the colors in that brocade top look almost celestial.

Thanks, Mary Beth, Nikki and Suz--#4 is my fave as well. Layering is just so much fun, and the top is interesting; I like the term "celestial" for it, MB :).

ETA: Thanks, Stagiaire Fash, for the clogs love! I do have a pair of clog boots that I love--I say go for it (either regular clogs or clog boots, see below for some lovely clog boots from Troentorp)!

Well just reading the description of your outfits is delightful (go TRR!) but looking at them is next level fabulousness. I especially like the interesting top texture and color in #2 and #4. This is something I am appreciating more and more. Also love the color of the Nili Lotan pants. All of these are a pleasure (and inspiring) to see!

Carla, Shevia, and Jenni--that top in #2 was a bit of a wild card for me (because of the sleeves, mostly) so I appreciate your feedback. I agree with you, Shevia, about seeking out unusual textures--it makes clothes so interesting and unique, IMHO.

Janet, kellygirl, Sally, and Bijou, thanks for your comments! I am not a huge dress wearer, so it doesn't come very naturally to me. But YLF is such an encouraging place, and you wear dresses and boots so well!
