When getting dressed today, I thought of my mother who would have had a very pointed comment about my midi skirt, puffer vest, and stompy boots outfit. She was on my mind because yesterday would have been her 84th birthday. I'm certain my mother would have said that I resemble Olive Oyl. She was from the generation where the statement "your mother wears army boots." was a terrible insult. I take it as a compliment. LOL!!
