WIW...playing with pastels (black and blush)

Last week I experimented with some new blush items added to my closet for spring. It hasn't been very spring-like (rainy and grey) so black seemed to be the go-to rather than white. After Angie's post today, I decided to post the one outfit I documented.

Blush chinos - Reitmans
Black t-shirt - Uniqlo
Black embroidered bomber - Zara (a favourite from last year)
Faux studs - Diba

It works! The shoes tie it all together for me...nice.

Gloomy and cold here in the Northeast U.S. too. I've actually been more interested in purchasing cool weather items.

I like how the shoes and jacket pattern on back pick up the two colors. That's the kind of detail I enjoy in outfits. I would have a tough time wearing that color on top, so I can see how adding them on bottom brings in a wider color palette.

In my opinion - a very successful experiment!
I love how the lighter part of the shoes ties in with the colour of the jeans + and then the black toe cap is repeated on your tops.
Love the jacket - I can see why it's a favourite.

This outfit looks great. I like the integrity of the blush and black in the embroidery and the shoes. It's a very matchy look with a current feel and an unexpected bit of toughness (with the bomber style jacket and the studs on the shoes). I think this shade of blush pink works well for you.

This is a great look and how I like to wear blush too. It is a very flattering and versatile colour. I love that jacket - I remember it from last year and it is just a super style and pattern.

I love this outfit. It looks easy, comfortable, and stylish. The shoes are great with the pants. I'm glad you found blush pants you like. I tried several, but rejected all of them. Yours look great on you and work so well in ensemble.

Those shoes make everything look fantastic!
