An overcast day, but warm, and felt warmer due to high humidity. Since it was a grey day, I needed colour. Changed to more casual for grocery shopping after work

#1 yellow twisted tank - Carmen Marc Valvo
Cobalt skirt - Grace Elements
White jacket - Sears (Jessica)
Shoes - Riecker
Bag-Calvin Klein
Necklace-Ardene's

# 2 without the jacket

#3 yellow swan print top-Philosopy
Black shorts-NWD
Black and brown sandals-Naturalizer

I wasn't sure if the white shoes would work in skirt or dress combos, but I think they look okay in the pics. The high low hemline and waist surrendering of the Philosophy top is new to me, and I'm not sure about the fit. Too big? Should I shorten the straps so it fits higher?

Advice/comments welcomed, and thanks for looking.

Great outfits! I think the high-low hem looks good. The fit looks good to me but I prefer my summer clothes to be a little slouchy, so others may have a more informed opinion. The white jacket looks good with the yellow and blue combo with the white shoes to bookend the pieces.

Love these. I think the high low is quite fun. It doesn't look too big to me. I love it on you. The yellow and cobalt is divine on you! I like the white shoes too--very sporty!

Some of your best yet ever Carla! The hi-lo waist surrender is definitely fantastic and the white shoes are big winners in my book.

It's so sad I hate on white. The shoes are really really good.

Love the blue/yellow/white, and I think the white shoes are terrific on you. They play so nicely against your fair coloring and lean limbs!

You could take up the shoulder a smidgen, although I don't feel it's necessary here, and I love the overall look. Do you have any white shorts?

Wow, yellow is such a good colour on you, and so lovely combined with cobalt. Love the top in #3 and I agree with Beth Ann, that white shorts would be nice pairing.

Thank you all for the positive comments about the combos, and especially the feedback on the Philosophy top. I loved the colour and the swan motif and the fabric is so comfy.

I also appreciate the feedback on the white shoes. I'm really loving them, and they are so comfortable .

Beth Ann and Deborah I wore the top with white shorts (and the white jacket!) this weekend when I was in Ottawa, and I think white on the bottom would be my first choice.

Yellow and blue - such a happy color combination! You white shoes are bookended nicely by your jacket.
I would shorten the straps if it bothers you - I have the same issue with wide necklines, cannot fill them in. However it does not look bad - but most important how it feels. Other than that waist surrendering debut is fab! You can also try the white shoes with this outfit, may be even more fun than the black sandals (you can guess that I am not a fan of black sandals)

This is simply too gorgeous for words. Every outfit here is so thoughtfully put together. Even the very casual third outfit is fantastic in every way. The delicate sandals respond to the handbag and the asymmetrical hem is being playful with the leggings.
