Though retailers have yet to drop their S/S items, I’ve been doing a little online shopping. (We are just out of a 50 day near complete lockdown, so no B&M). #2 quick flat set audition with items from my closet

# 3 white linen shirt is a ‘hand-me-down’. After a wash and a press, gave it a try-on, bookending with white Converse. Will save for summer, I think.

#4 white linen shirt with embroidery

The inseam of the jeans may be a tad short for PPL when worn down, but I’m a fan of the wide cuff atm. Comments and styling suggestions for the white top welcomed. It’s kind of boxy and shorter than my other button downs.

Beautiful lilac outfit - fab on you! The hairdo looks great.
White blouse is perfect for summer. I wonder if it can be worn half-tuck with your olive jeans or open as light shirt-jacket and dark tank top?
The lilac jeans are great with wide cuff - feeling envy ( could never find lilac items that work for myself - except tees ).

Wow, I *love* this look on you—don’t think I’ve seen you in dark floral or soft colors like those pants. The soft waves of your longer hair work well with the outfit too! And nice choice of footwear to top (?bottom?) it off.

I quite like this! And think I may have to do a bit of investigating into those jeans. I have this mesh top too, and although I've only worn it once, I do like it and these jeans would be great in my wardrobe. I love lilac with olive or red. I agree that the deep cuff is good here .

Vis a vis the embroidered shirt - because it's traditionally " pretty" , which I never associate with your style, I'd be tempted to tomboy it up with blue jeans, a cap of some kind, and maybe a leather jacket. Cons could work, or an off white ankle boot?

I think these jeans are a wonderful addition to your wardrobe. Such a great plan to build a capsule based on colour. It keeps things fresh and interesting but also ensures you have something to wear the jeans with. I think you were very successful with a burgundy/merlot ensemble this winter.

HBC has been very good to me this year, or maybe that is the other way around?!?

FWIW - the jeans are very high waisted (which works for me) and have a button fly. They are a heavy 100% cotton. The leg opening is wider than a usual stovepipe. They are called a ‘90’s jean and I would say they are a ‘mom’ jean. Oh! I’ve worn them all day, and I’m loving them!

What a fun capsule. Ideas for your white top...wear it with high waisted neutral bottoms. Since it is short, wear it untucked. White with black is a classic and supposed to be popular for this spring/summer. Get lilac accessories like earrings or scarf to pull neutral bottoms together with your white top. Wear your white sneakers when you wear the white top. Make a “twin set” wearing the top open over a whit tee or tank or get a white cardigan or knit jacket to wear over your white top.Don’t you have a sleeveless white dress? Wear the top over it unbuttoned like a light jacket.

Wow, lavender is so fresh, and never imagined it comes in jeans, too-but looks gorgeous to your floral top, including wide cuff and converse! Otherwise, for the white shirt what lisap said.
