The meteorologist is promising that today is the last of the cold days and tonight should be the last night (fingers crossed) that I have to cover up the tomato plants. I layered up, for the cool temps. Sunscreen (SPF 50) because even though it was cool, there was a UV warning.

#2 DH says this is his favourite time to river watch - the water is low enough to show the many levels of the rock bottom and fish are migrating upstream. I felt a weight lift today, because the tape and barricades that blocked the paths along the river were removed today. Alas, we saw several cars with Big City license plates parked near access routes. The river usually draws tourists and fisher folk in the spring and the fall when the fish run up stream to spawn.
